Osaic has returned to the office on a hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of 4 days weekly in the office. Applicants should be located at one of our hubs listed above and must be willing to work this schedule.

Role Type:        Full-time

Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 per year + annual bonus

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.

Summary:

Osaic, one of the nation’s largest networks of independent financial advisors, is currently looking for a Financial Systems Director.  Joining the company’s Finance department, this role will work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment that values talent, innovation, and delivery of best-in-class solutions. 

The team is seeking someone with accounting and finance operational experience and Workday and system configuration expertise to lead the development, implementation, and administration of the organization’s financial systems. The organization is growing organically and through acquisitions requiring system optimization and business integration work with mindfulness towards controls and compliance.

You will have the opportunity to participate in continuous process improvements within our existing Workday Finance application and other financial systems applications, including research, design, development, deployment, monitoring, accounting close cycles, and reporting. This role will support the enterprise with operational and project responsibilities.

This role bridges Finance, Accounting & Accounts Payable, Procurement, Treasury and HRIS ensuring the system supports business operations efficiently while enabling scalability, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines deep Workday Financials expertise with strong business acumen, leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.   

Responsibilities:

System Ownership & Strategy

• Consistently monitor, recommend, and implement improvements to current processes and report across Record to Report, Procure-to-pay and Banking Verticals.
• Manage, retain and grow the Financial Systems team to execute the roadmap for Workday Financial systems aligned with broad business goals.
• Lead Financial Systems and partner with key stakeholders to manage and improve secondary Financial Systems such as Adaptive Planning, Prism, Accounting Center, Workday Strategic Sourcing and Workday CLM.
• Evaluate new Workday releases and lead feature adoption.
• Create and schedule custom reports and report groups.
• Lead cross-functional projects.  Gather business and security requirements, perform system design and configuration, map and validate data conversion, create test plans, conduct testing, create and test reports, and provide ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain training materials and conduct in-person or online training.
• Understand Workday Security and drive best practices for assignment, confidentiality and security of data accessed during daily activities.
• Maintain strict internal control environment, ensuring data integrity, stringent segregation of duties, and SOX compliance.
• Troubleshoot business process failures and integration issues.
• Support additional projects as assigned.

Configuration & Optimization

• Lead system configuration, enhancements, and maintenance.
• Continuously improve business processes through automation and system capabilities.
• Ensure proper design of chart of accounts, business processes, and security frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and IT teams to identify system needs and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with HRIS and the greater HR organization to identify system needs, coordinate on process impacts, and maintain data dictionary
• Translate business requirements into technical configurations.
• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external consultants/vendors.

Reporting & Analytics

• Oversee development of financial reports, dashboards, and analytics.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.

Governance & Controls

• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance within Workday.
• Manage system security roles and segregation of duties.
• Support audit processes and documentation.
• Establish best practices and standard operating procedures.

Integrations & Data Management

• Manage integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems.
• Oversee data loads, conversions, and ongoing data governance.

Production Support

• Provide ongoing support for system issues and user inquiries.
• Manage ticketing processes and ensure timely resolution of incidents.

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience of Implementing and/or Administrating Workday Product offerings such as Core Financials, Adaptive Planning, PRISM, Accounting Center, Workday Strategic Sourcing or Evisort
• Minimum 5+ years of direct or enterprise project leadership experience
• Hands-on experience with key modules (GL, AP, Procurement, Expenses, Projects)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with Workday configuration, security, and business process frameworks
• Proven experience leading system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills
• Experience in a leadership or people management role
• Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Requirements:

• Workday Financials Consulting or Pro track certification(s)

• Experience Implementing Workday Financials in the Financial Services/Insurance Industry

• Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, or Integrations (EIB, Studio, APIs)

• Experience with Adaptive Planning, Workday Strategic Sourcing or Evisort (Workday CLM) strongly preferred

• Experience with Order-to-Cash

• Background in Implementation, public accounting or corporate finance

• Experience in the Financial Services Industry

• Experience working with internal and external auditors
