What You’ll Do:

The financial counselor supports the hospital key indicator initiatives associated with point of service collections. The financial counselor communicates insurance benefits, payment plans and expectations to patients. The financial counselor works with case management and administration on procedure deferrals. The financial counselor is responsible for handling incoming patient calls and patient walk-ins.

Requirements 

Completion of two years of college level classes; High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Requirements:

Two years registration/insurance verification experience in an acute care hospital or physician practice group.
