Role Summary:

The Decision Enablement team within Risk Management & Underwriting (RMUW) is seeking a Financial Analysis Advisor who can turn complex data into meaningful business insights.

In this role, you’ll combine healthcare and underwriting knowledge with analytical and technical skills to support operational reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and help business leaders make informed decisions. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert for key reporting tools and data while partnering across teams to continuously improve how information is delivered and used.

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as a primary business partner and subject matter expert for assigned operational reports, tools, and analytics.
• Analyze healthcare, underwriting, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
• Lead reporting and analytical initiatives that require collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Translate complex data and findings into clear recommendations for business partners and leaders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing reports, dashboards, tools, and processes as business needs evolve.
• Work with large datasets from multiple sources and systems to support reporting and analysis.
• Monitor and validate data for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
• Anticipate business needs and proactively recommend analytical or reporting solutions.
• Build strong partnerships across the organization and influence decisions through data-driven insights.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience within the healthcare industry.
• Direct underwriting knowledge or experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
• Experience working independently and successfully navigating complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly learn new business areas, processes, and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and VBA.
• Working knowledge of at least one analytical or programming technology such as SQL, Python, SAS, or R.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with workflow and data preparation tools such as Alteryx.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and AI tools
• Experience developing or supporting dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience working with large datasets, multiple data sources, and database management systems.
• Experience supporting underwriting, pricing, risk management, operational reporting, or healthcare analytics.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,800 - 161,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
