A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
Join Directed Electronics as a Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial performance of a dynamic, multi-entity business. You will be the go-to expert for reporting, analysis, and management accounting, partnering with senior leaders to drive profitability, reduce leakage, and champion process excellence across a global organisation. This is a role for a commercially sharp finance professional who thrives on turning data into decisions. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities while driving continuous improvement across systems and processes, making a tangible impact on business outcomes every day.
YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and deliver insightful monthly management reports and ad hoc financial analysis to support executive and senior leadership decision-making
- Own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, including 3-way reporting and capacity forecasts, ensuring performance benchmarks are clearly communicated
- Monitor margins, revenues, and profitability drivers, taking proactive action to minimise revenue leakage and address negative performance trends
- Lead management accounting functions including EOM reporting, project costing, billing, and reconciliation across multiple entities and brands
- Champion process improvement initiatives by developing workflows, automations, controls, and reporting structures that enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and procedures, supporting both internal and external audit processes
- Utilise and optimise ERP and BI tools including SAP and Phocas to maintain accurate, automated, and timely reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and senior management to align financial insights with strategic business objectives
- Maintain and improve master file integrity covering pricing, BOMs, suppliers, customers, and projects to protect targeted margins
- Lead or support finance-related business projects, acting as the subject matter expert and driving delivery within required timelines
A BIT ABOUT YOU
- 10 or more years of experience in financial analysis or management accounting within an eCommerce, retail, or product-based business
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline
- High proficiency with ERP systems, with SAP experience strongly preferred, and the ability to quickly learn additional platforms
- Proven track record managing end-to-end accounting for multiple entities including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development
- Demonstrated experience implementing software-based process improvements and driving automation across finance functions
- Strong analytical and systems-oriented mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience partnering with cross-functional senior leaders to improve business-wide productivity and financial performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and empowering leadership style with the ability to influence and drive performance across teams without direct authority
