- Lead the planning and budgeting cycle to global and regional standards, aligning budgets across the Field Office, projects, grants, MyPBAS, and Support Offices, enforcing sound cost recovery, and adapting the plan as constraints shift.
- Hold control of the Field Office budget, cash flow, and project funding, equipping budget managers with timely information and driving cost-efficiency through analysis and benchmarks that guide resource allocation at every level.
- Safeguard the integrity of financial reporting and analysis to the Partnership and internal users, applying WVI Finance Policies across grant compliance, budgeting, year-end close, carryforward, accounting, and reporting, so that financial management and control hold a strong position in the Quarterly Scorecard.

- Ensure the Field Office meets all statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations in both Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, including annual statutory audit, entity registration, and compliance with local finance and labour law, engaging external advisers where required.
- Partner with Global Centre Shared Services to ensure transactional finance is delivered to agreed service standards, holding the interface accountable for timeliness, accuracy, and issue resolution, and leveraging shared services so that in-country capacity stays focused on analysis, control, and business partnering.
- Lead the audit and integrity agenda: manage internal, statutory, and donor-led audits from preparation through closure of findings, drive timely management responses and implementation, sustain field-level accountability through a planned programme of finance visits, and set the anti-corruption and fraud prevention strategy across Field Office and partner operations.
