This is an OCONUS position in Ecuador.
Job Overview
The A&P Mechanic shall provide in country CFSR support to the Ecuador King Air 360ER Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) . The CFSR shall be bilingual (English/Spanish). The CFSR shall be stationed in Ecuador to conduct engineering technical services, on the job aircraft maintenance training, as well as advise and mentor the Ecuador maintenance technicians in maintaining the King Air 360ER and the installed MPA mission systems. Supervises teams ensuring work is conducted in accordance with governing directives.
The FSR 4 is a senior mechanic with advanced knowledge of systems who oversees maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and related systems. Inspects aircraft components to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Troubleshoots mechanical and avionics issues, and provides oversight on repairs.
Essential Functions
- Acts as the liaison between the host nation, US Army Fixed wing office and AEVEX for maintaining the aircraft in a mission capable status
- Address and resolves significant, complex, and non-standard issues
- Contributes to development of new procedures and protocols
- Supports development of complete and accurate maintenance records
- Supports scheduled inspections and completes follow-up as required
- Support host nations in completing necessary maintenance and repairs (replacements) on the aircraft, its subsystems, and components
- Checks for corrosion, distortion, and cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail and other subassemblies IAW with applicable instructions and directives
- Conducts training for the team.
- Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all AEVEX Aerospace Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- Background with King Air 300 series aircraft preferably experience with King Air ISR aircraft
- Must be able to pass a medical/dental physical for deployment
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and parts
- Excellent ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent ability to read engineering drawings
- Preferred FAA Repair station experience required and Quality Assurance experience (Desired)
Education / Certifications
- High School Diploma
- Must have A&P license
- Inspection Authority a plus
Experience
- 12+ years of aircraft Maintenance experience.
- Experience working on King Air Aircraft 350/360ER preferred
