We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer in New Zealand who will be responsible for daily service support of existing customer base in New Zealand and when required assist in the rest of Australia. The Field Service Engineer will also support sales growth, service growth and customer satisfaction.

This position is part of the ANZ Beckman Coulter LS Service team and will be a remote position.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

• Proactively managing all aspects of customer interaction to ensure exceptional satisfaction, striving for first-time fixes, increased instrument throughput, and decreased downtime. You will act as a dedicated advocate for our customers while embodying company values, leveraging strong communication and follow-up to exceed expectations and resolve issues swiftly.
• Accurately closing service calls and managing escalations per established procedures to ensure precise reporting and timely resolution. This includes meticulous adherence to processes, managing necessary re-certifications for ISO audits, and maintaining high audit standards.
•  Consistently meeting and exceeding individual revenue goals, including growth of Field Service Maintenance Agreements. You will generate substantial new equipment leads for the sales team, manage personal expenses efficiently, and maintain accurate car boot stock inventory with minimal discrepancies.
• Leading by example in developing a culture of continuous improvement, taking accountability for daily management and monthly KPIs. You will actively seek opportunities for enhancement, leveraging internal and external expertise to drive sustainable improvements.
• Actively engaging in value selling by identifying opportunities to offer additional services, reagents, consumables, and new equipment leads. You will partner closely with the sales team to support initiatives that drive overall business growth.

The essential requirements for the job include:

• Degree or equivalent in Biomedical / Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of prior field service experience in related field is preferred.
• Desirable knowledge of Flow Cytometry, Liquid Handlers and Centrifugation.
• Strong deductive reasoning and problem‐solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess experience in:

• Highly computer literate (especially in Microsoft Office product range).
• Understands customer perception and the associated business impacts and is commercially capable of resolving customer issues in a rapid fashion.
• Managing Call Escalations ability to identify, own and track any issues with an account, according to call escalation procedure, to reach resolution.
