As a Field Operator III – P&M, you will perform a key operational role supporting Pre-Commissioning & Maintenance activities across offshore and onshore environments. You will operate and maintain specialized equipment, execute critical testing and maintenance services, ensure adherence to safety procedures, and support successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and customer service.

As a Field Operator III – P&M, you will be responsible for:

• Executing Pre-Commissioning & Maintenance services including N2/He leak testing, nitrogen purging, mechanical torque and tensioning, barrier leak testing, pigging, FCGT, and hydrotesting activities.
• Rigging up, operating, and troubleshooting nitrogen equipment, fluid pumps, flooding pumps, bolting systems, and associated P&M equipment while ensuring safe and efficient job execution.
• Operating auxiliary equipment including DHDA pumps, OPP systems, Blagdon pumps, and Haskel units while maintaining operational readiness and equipment reliability.
• Performing daily inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing of pumps, hoses, fittings, treating iron, and associated operational equipment.
• Conducting risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and complying with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements to ensure all operations are delivered safely and in accordance with HSE standards.
• Preparing technical documentation, operational reports, maintenance records, and test completion paperwork to support accurate project execution and reporting requirements.
• Supporting pre-job planning, post-job reviews, yard operations, and customer interactions while contributing to operational improvements and successful project outcomes.
• Maintaining a high level of technical competency across P&M services, ensuring equipment readiness, operational excellence, and compliance with Baker Hughes policies and procedures.
  

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have experience as a standalone operator within Pre-Commissioning & Maintenance (P&M), pipeline services, or related oil and gas operations.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with leak testing, nitrogen services, pigging, hydrotesting, mechanical bolting, and pressure testing operations.
• Possess strong mechanical experience with the ability to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair operational equipment.
• Hold a valid UKNS Offshore Survival certificate and current offshore medical certification.
• Maintain all required certifications and authorizations necessary to work within the UK offshore sector.
• Have a strong understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) systems, risk assessments, COSHH requirements, and safe working practices.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare written reports and interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Be self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and capable of working independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while supporting operational requirements.
