At Flux, we work as equals and foster a highly motivating environment shaped by shared ownership, flat hierarchies, and a strong team spirit. Here, you will not only develop your skills, but also make a real impact. Join our team and help shape the mobility of tomorrow.
Your role.
We are looking for a hands-on Field Engineer who takes technical responsibility for our vehicles once they are in the field, turning real customer and service issues into fast fixes and clear feedback to engineering.
In this role, you are the first technical contact when something comes up on a vehicle in operation. You diagnose issues on site and remotely, coordinate fixes with our workshop, service partners and the responsible engineers, and make sure the customer is back up and running quickly. As our fleet grows, you help build up the service and aftersales side of Flux: repair instructions, spare-parts topics and the processes behind them.
Just as important, you make sure that what we learn in the field flows back into development. You turn field data and failure patterns into structured feedback that makes the next vehicles better.
We care less about years of experience than about attitude: someone who learns fast, is comfortable getting hands on real hardware, and gets things done without waiting to be told. At Flux, you will work in a small team with short decision-making paths and take ownership early
What you can contribute.
-
Be the first technical point of contact for field and service issues on our vehicles.
-
Diagnose and root-cause problems on vehicles in real operation, both on site and remotely (diagnostics, logs and data).
-
Coordinate fixes with our workshop, external service partners and the responsible engineers, and see them through to resolution.
-
Build up and maintain service documentation, repair instructions and spare-parts topics.
-
Help set up and improve our service and aftersales processes as the fleet grows.
-
Feed structured field data, failure patterns and customer feedback back into engineering to improve the product.
-
Support customers and service partners with troubleshooting and basic technical training.
-
Travel to customer and vehicle sites when needed.
How you will succeed in this role.
-
Technical education in automotive, mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering – apprenticeship with further qualification (e.g. Techniker/in HF), a Bachelor's degree, or comparable.
-
Attitude and learning speed matter more than years of experience; some exposure to vehicles, machinery or technical service is a plus.
-
Hands-on mentality, comfortable diagnosing and working on real hardware.
-
Solid basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, and an interest in high-voltage / EV topics.
-
Structured, self-driven way of working. You get things done and take ownership without waiting for instructions.
-
Clear communicator with customers, service partners and internal teams.
-
Fluent German and good English. French is a plus.
-
Driving licence (category B; category BE or C1 an advantage) and willingness to travel, mainly within Switzerland.
Your environment.
At Flux, we develop electric commercial vehicles in small, highly responsible teams. Our vehicles are already operating in the real world, on construction sites, in cities and in the daily operations of our customers.
That means decisions are made close to the product. Engineers take responsibility for their systems throughout the entire development cycle, from concept and testing through to issues seen in the field.
If you like solving real problems on real vehicles, taking ownership and working in an environment where execution matters more than hierarchy, this role is a good fit for you.
Flux Mobility AG was founded in April 2021. Our mission is to develop high-quality light commercial vehicles with innovative, emission-free drivetrain technologies and to electrify specialist vehicles in Winterthur.
Our vehicles are built on a flexible platform concept that enables the direct replacement of diesel vehicles on a one-to-one basis. In doing so, we are helping to drive the sustainable transformation of industrial mobility and enabling companies to realise the full potential of electric mobility.
