Job Summary:

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) plays a crucial role in bridging the technical aspects of products and solutions with the requirements and challenges faced by customers. This role involves providing technical support, mentorship, and expertise to customers, sales teams, and internal collaborators. FAEs are responsible for understanding customer needs, demonstrating product capabilities, fixing technical issues, and ensuring customer requirements are explained accurately to Internal Costing/E2e Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, including product demonstrations, technical consultations, and solution recommendations.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their technical requirements, challenges, and objectives.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct technical training sessions for customers, sales teams, and partners to improve their understanding of product features, capabilities, and guidelines.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain user documentation, application notes, and other collateral to support customer engagements and internal information exchange.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team in technical discussions, presentations, and proposal development to effectively communicate the value proposition of company products and solutions.
  • Travel: Travel to customer sites as needed to provide on-site support, conduct training sessions, and participate in customer meetings and events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical
  • Proven experience in a technical customer-facing role, such as field application engineering, technical consulting (5+ Years)
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software systems, including embedded systems, networking, and software development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools like Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to fix technical issues independently.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Sales Forces.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (typically 25-50% travel).
  • The Field Application Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth by ensuring successful adoption and implementation of company products and solutions.
