As a Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence professional at PwC, you’ll bring your transaction experience, analytical strength, commercial acumen and leadership to provide high-quality financial due diligence, identify key value drivers, and support clients through critical deals. Based in Melbourne / Naarm, you’ll work across various industries, using emerging technologies and AI as well as coaching junior team members as you help clients reach their transaction objectives.

You’ll partner with global and domestic private equity funds, infrastructure clients, ASX listed and large privately owned corporate clients providing high-quality financial due diligence and enabling informed decisions that maximise outcomes in sales or acquisitions.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver sharp, commercially focused financial due diligence insights and high-quality reports that support complex transactions and create confidence for our clients.
• Lead detailed financial analysis across buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements, uncovering key value drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Build a deep understanding of client businesses and sectors to identify what really drives performance, providing clear, actionable insights that help accelerate successful deals.
• Harness PwC’s cutting-edge technologies — including AI, data analytics and automation — to enhance how you work, elevate the client experience and continually grow your digital capabilities.
• Work closely with senior leaders and support junior team members through coaching, on-the-job learning and constructive feedback, contributing to a culture of high performance and growth.
• Join a collaborative deals team where your commercial acumen, curiosity and innovative mindset shape transformative transactions and long-term client outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in transaction services, assurance (e.g. external audit), corporate finance or valuations, with a strong grounding in financial analysis and reporting.
• A collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-focused mindset, who brings energy to delivering across multiple engagements.
• Comfortable using digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance financial analysis, insight generation and the way you work.
• Skilled at translating complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives for clients, stakeholders and your team.
• Commercially sharp, with strong business acumen, an eye on market trends and the ability to assess opportunities and provide strategic, value-adding insights.
• Known for your integrity, empathy and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships internally and with clients.
• Professionally qualified, ideally with an accounting or finance background (e.g. CA/CPA, CFA, Finsia, MBA, Masters in Finance, Applied Finance or similar).
