We are seeking a talented individual to join Marsh's Claims Advocacy team in a key role supporting our Faith & Education clients. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Faith & Education Team Lead, Claims Operations

This role leads a team of claims professionals supporting clients across the faith-based, independent schools, childcare and early learning, and broader education sectors. You will combine people leadership, technical claims oversight, stakeholder management and continuous improvement to help deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes and a positive client experience.

We will count on you to:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of claims advisers and claims specialists, including regular one-on-ones, performance discussions and capability uplift

• Provide technical guidance and escalation support on complex, sensitive, high-risk or high-value claims matters

• Oversee claim intake, triage and file management to ensure matters are allocated appropriately and handled within service standards

• Manage client and stakeholder relationships, including claims review meetings and communication with insurers, brokers, third-party providers and internal teams

• Monitor service performance, review KPIs and take action to improve quality, turnaround times and workload management

• Support process improvement, governance, reporting and claims system adoption to strengthen client service and operational effectiveness

What you need to have:

• Demonstrated experience in insurance, broking or a TPA environment

• Experience leading or supervising a claims team or senior claims function

• Technical claims knowledge and sound judgement across relevant lines of insurance, including Public and Products Liability, Property/ISR and abuse or molestation-related matters

• Well-developed communication, coaching, reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
