Job Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator III, under general supervision, oversees routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance. Keeps buildings in safe, secured condition and in constant working order. Oversees mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, architecture, and landscaping to ensure building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests.
Responsibilities:
-Oversees mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, architecture, and landscaping to ensure building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests.
-Management of the horse herd and facilities used by the Athletic Department – Women’s Equestrian Team.
-Communicate with the coaching staff and veterinarians regarding horse performance on a daily basis.
- Management of the equine nutrition program with routine communication with the coaching staff about needs and changes.
-Training supervision, coordination and management of the student worker barn crew. Training to include equine behavior and handling methods.
-Work with the Farm Foreman on the maintenance of the Hildebrand Equine Complex to include the facility, pasture, and arenas maintenance and cleaning schedules
-Maintain safe working conditions for Hildebrand employees, teams and visitors.
-Equestrian team show preparation.
-Post-season (SEC and National Championship) travel.
-Occasional support of other facility users (AgriLife Extension, Equine Initiative, College of Veterinary Medicine).
-Serves as contact for after-hours facility emergencies.
-Other job-related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Four years of related experience in facilities, building maintenance, or facilities construction scheduling and inventory.
-Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years' experience in Equine Management.
-Experience in horse show and/or athletics background.
Other Requirements:
-Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls.
-Ability to exert heavy force.
-Requires travel to various locations.
What You Need to Know
Salary: $68,330.50/Annually
Flexible Work Arrangements: This position is not eligible for remote work.
