ob Description
The Fabrication Technician is responsible for producing, assembling, and finishing material components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring high-quality fabrication, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Interpret and work from blueprint, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment (e.g., saws, presses, CNC machines, welding equipment, or cutting tools).
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials to precise specifications.
- Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing tasks as required.
- Inspect fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
- Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment; report or escalate equipment issues.
- Maintain sound safety practices and follow all safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve fabrication or design issues.
Qualifications/Requirements
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Proficient with fabrication tools and machinery
Basic math and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail
