The Role

We have some exciting upcoming contract opportunities here at ClearPoint and are looking for experienced Senior Test Automation Engineers based in Auckland or Wellington to join us and help deliver quality outcomes for our clients across a range of projects.

You'll be working in a hybrid model, with 3 days a week onsite at our client's site, collaborating closely with engineering and delivery teams to help ship high quality, well tested software.

Sound like you? Here's what we're after:

The experience we're looking for

• Extensive experience in test automation for web and mobile applications, using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or Cypress
• Strong scripting or programming ability in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript to build and maintain automation frameworks
• Experience with API testing tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or SoapUI
• Solid understanding of test strategy and planning, including risk based testing approaches and test coverage across the full delivery lifecycle
• Familiarity with BDD approaches (Cucumber, SpecFlow) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud based device testing environments
• Nice to have: exposure to AI assisted testing tools, test generation, or agentic workflows
