Job Title: End User Technology (EUT) Platform Engineer - Windows & macOS

Job Summary

The End User Technology (EUT) Platform Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise end-user computing environments across both Windows and macOS platforms. This role provides advanced technical support, manages device lifecycle and software deployment processes, delivers platform engineering and packaging services, and ensures security, compliance, performance, and user experience across desktop and mobile technologies.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, Infrastructure, Networking, and Service Management, to support global end-user technologies and drive automation, standardization, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Administration

• Design, deploy, administer, and maintain Windows 10/11 and macOS environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Manage endpoint lifecycle activities including provisioning, imaging, deployment, configuration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
• Administer endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and other Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain endpoint policies, configurations, and compliance standards.

• Manage software distribution processes, application updates, and deployment strategies.
• Develop deployment automation and packaging solutions using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to validate application compatibility and deployment readiness.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide Level 3 support for complex endpoint-related incidents involving hardware, operating systems, applications, and device management technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, macOS, mobile devices, software deployments, and endpoint security.
• Participate in major incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and service restoration activities.

Identity & Collaboration Services

• Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), and Microsoft 365 services.
• Support authentication, device enrollment, access management, and endpoint integration with enterprise services.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain endpoint security controls and compliance requirements.
• Monitor system health, vulnerabilities, patch compliance, and security posture across managed devices.
• Partner with Security teams to remediate risks and maintain compliance with corporate standards.

Operations & Service Improvement

• Monitor platform performance, capacity utilization, and operational metrics.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and user experience enhancements.
• Participate in change management, release management, and service improvement initiatives.
• Support onboarding activities, technical projects, and strategic transformation efforts.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Document solutions, best practices, deployment methodologies, and known issues.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to end users and IT teams on platform technologies and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise end-user computing environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, and equivalent MDM platforms.
• Experience with application packaging, deployment, and software lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), Microsoft 365, and identity management concepts.
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, compliance, and device management best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within global cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization and modern endpoint management practices.
• Understanding of network fundamentals and endpoint connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cloud-first workplace technologies and modern device management strategies.
• Exposure to Zero Trust security principles and endpoint compliance frameworks.
