Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of industrial equipment, performing mechanical adjustments, preventive and corrective maintenance, and complying with industrial safety standards.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
- Conduct mechanical adjustments to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards, including LOTO procedures.
- Operate forklifts as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Record and document maintenance activities in the management system (MaintainX or other CMMS).
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance indicators and propose improvements.
- Conduct periodic inspections to minimize downtime.
- Create and update preventive maintenance (PM) documents and equipment operation instructions based on performance data.
- Maintain and manage critical spare parts inventory for machines.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) and Design Engineers.
- Align work with company goals and objectives.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, following 5S principles.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
Who You Are:
- Multidisciplinary Diagnostics & Repair: Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance while diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on industrial machinery.
- Industrial Safety Standards: Strong knowledge and enforcement of workplace safety protocols, specifically Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Equipment Operation & Handling: Practical experience with mechanical adjustments and forklift operation for maintenance tasks.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to write and update preventive maintenance (PM) instructions, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation based on performance data.
- Workplace Standards & Schedule: Proficiency in 5S methodology to maintain clean work areas, along with the flexibility to work weekend hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMMS Experience: Hands-on experience utilizing MaintainX or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for task tracking and logging.
- Relevant Industry Background: Prior maintenance experience within electric vehicle (EV), automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated background working alongside Manufacturing Engineers (MEs) and Design Engineers during equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
- Inventory Control: Experience overseeing and managing critical spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
