The Company:
Placements AI is building the operating system for advertising. As a product-first company, we are transforming the way digital media publishers, broadcasters, retail media networks, and eCommerce businesses manage their advertising operations through AI-powered technology and automation.
Our platform includes AdSalesOS, which enables publishers and retail media networks to manage advertising sales, operations, billing, and revenue reporting, and MarketerOS, which empowers brands and agencies to plan, execute, optimize, and measure advertising investments across multiple channels. Together, our products create a connected ecosystem that helps customers automate complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and scale their advertising businesses.
Headquartered in New York City, Placements AI has a global footprint with offices in Seattle, London, Taipei, and Denver, as well as the APAC region.
The Position:
As an Account Manager based in Australia, you will be the ultimate partner to our enterprise clients. Placements.io powers the modern order-to-cash and revenue management lifecycle for major media companies, publishers, and the world's fastest-growing Retail Media Networks. You will step in immediately post-sale to manage high-value client relationships, drive deep platform adoption, and ensure clients unlock maximum ROI from our SaaS operating systems.
This is a high-visibility, commercial, and relationship-driven role. You will bridge the gap between our Sales Reps and our clients' operations, keeping a laser focus on account health, complex stakeholder management, and full ownership of account retention, renewals, and expansion revenue.
What You’ll Do:
- Post-Sale Transition & Alignment: Partner with Sales Reps during the final stages of a deal to ensure a seamless handoff. You will facilitate client onboarding, set clear business expectations, and coordinate smoothly with our Product and Engineering teams, who handle the technical implementation heavy lifting.
- Executive Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary, trusted strategic point of contact for enterprise clients. Build strong relationships across all levels of the client organization, from day-to-day operators to senior management.
- C-Suite Presentations: Confidently prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews (QBRs/EBRs), strategic roadmap alignments, and platform value metrics to senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Commercial Growth & Renewals: Take full ownership of your regional renewal pipeline. You will negotiate contract renewals and proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell features, modules, or expanded user seats to hit retention and growth targets.
- Cross-Functional Advocacy: Act as the strategic voice of the customer. Work closely with global product, engineering, and support teams to advocate for feature requests and ensure local client needs are prioritized.
- Regional Growth: Operate autonomously with minimal day-to-day oversight. As a core member of the regional team, you will help establish customer success best practices and scale our regional footprint.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of account management or customer success experience managing high-touch, enterprise accounts in a complex B2B SaaS environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Proven experience navigating complex enterprise organizational structures and commanding a room when presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
- A strong background in AdTech, MarTech, Ecommerce, or Retail Media. Familiarity with Order Management Systems (OMS), ad servers, CRM integrations (like Salesforce), digital/programmatic advertising, or automated billing reconciliation is highly advantageous.
- You thrive in growing, agile environments. You are highly resourceful, comfortable working with remote global teams, and excited about taking ownership of a critical, expanding region.
- Proven experience managing commercial conversations, handling contract renewals, and hitting expansion or net revenue retention quotas.
- Must be based in the Sydney metro area, with the ability to occasionally travel regionally as client needs arise
- Net Revenue Retention (NRR): Securing expansion and cross-sell revenue across your customer portfolio.
- Gross Retention Rate (GRR): Minimizing customer and contract churn.
- Customer Health Indicators: Driving high platform adoption, strong CSAT, and positive NPS scores through strategic executive alignment.
