Are you an experienced Enrolled Nurse looking for more than just another nursing role? Join our dedicated Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Withdrawal Management Team in Rowes Bay, Townsville, where every shift is an opportunity to support people through life-changing recovery journeys.

Working within a supportive and purpose-driven environment, you'll provide specialised detox nursing care, clinical support, and compassionate treatment to individuals taking the first steps toward recovery.

About the Role

As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality withdrawal management services, supporting clients' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing throughout the detox process.

You'll work closely with Registered Nurses, Medical Officers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care that empowers recovery and promotes positive outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

•  Supporting clients through alcohol and drug withdrawal programs
•  Conducting clinical observations, assessments, and monitoring withdrawal symptoms
•  Administering medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines
•  Assisting with admissions, discharges, case notes, and clinical documentation
•  Supporting clients experiencing mental health and addiction-related challenges
•  Collaborating with Medical Officers and healthcare professionals
•  Providing compassionate, culturally safe, and recovery-focused care
•  Contributing to a positive team culture and continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Bring

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
• Minimum 2 years' nursing experience, ideally within AOD, Mental Health, Detox, Community Health, or related settings
• Strong clinical assessment and observation skills
• Knowledge of withdrawal management practices and recovery principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care
• Current Driver Licence
• Willingness and ability to work AM and PM shifts across the week including weekends
• Current Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
