CSA – Middle English Teacher (Cambridge)

Purpose of Role

To deliver engaging and skill-based English instruction aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum, developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while fostering critical thinking and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

• Teach English to Cambridge Lower Secondary students (Stage 6–9).
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Cambridge learning objectives and frameworks.
• Develop students’ skills in: Reading comprehension and analysis, Creative and academic writing, Grammar, vocabulary, and language usage; and Speaking and listening skills
• Encourage literary appreciation, discussion, and independent thinking.
• Ensure timely completion of syllabus.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Conduct formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge standards.
• Evaluate assignments, projects, and practical work with constructive feedback.
• Maintain student progress records and documentation.
• Provide remedial and enrichment support where required.
