Action is seeking Full-Time Engineering Supervisor to join our Los Angeles Engineering Team.
Compensation: $125k to $130k
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Action Maintenance Services program and operations across a portfolio of high-rise and mid-rise properties. This role involves providing technical expertise, training staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Engineering Supervisor will also be responsible for responding to emergencies and supporting the Regional Manager of Engineering as directed.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
Mechanical Systems and Maintenance
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to optimize building performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess building systems and identify maintenance needs. In addition, add all findings to a detailed report.
- Conduct annual inspections/reports of all AMS accounts and on-site locations.
- Analyze energy usage data and recommend energy-saving measures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to onsite engineering and AMS teams.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs.
- Oversee vendor performance and ensure adherence to contract terms.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures through vendor partnerships.
- Assist in conducting quarterly Engineering Meetings for SoCal.
- Recruit, hire, and train engineering staff.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist in planning and executing capital improvement projects.
- Provide technical expertise and support for construction projects.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines.
- Respond to emergency calls and coordinate response efforts.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions.
- Overseeing the SoCal AMS roving technicians.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Who You Are (Skills/Experience)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in high-rise building engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
