Job Description – Electrician

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our Facilities team in a high-tech environment.

The Electrician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the site, ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of the building and its facilities.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, a safety-oriented mindset, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with internal teams and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment throughout the site.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain and inspect electrical panels, distribution boards, lighting systems, sockets, switches, and other electrical equipment.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and support business continuity when required.
• Perform routine inspections and identify potential electrical hazards or maintenance requirements.
• Support electrical works related to office renovations, relocations, new installations, and facility projects.
• Coordinate and supervise external electrical contractors when required.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with applicable safety regulations, company procedures, and relevant standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and electrical equipment.
• Support the Facilities team with general building maintenance activities when required.
• Work closely with Facilities, Security, EHS, IT, and other internal teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and business continuity activities.
• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce electricity consumption.

Requirements

• Valid electrician license appropriate to the scope of the position.
• 3+ years of experience as an electrician, preferably in commercial, industrial, office, or high-tech environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience working with electrical panels and building electrical infrastructure.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to urgent issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with contractors and service providers.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance/work-order systems.
• Good English communication skills – an advantage.
