Purpose
The Electrical Senior Engineer provides technical leadership and execution oversight for electrical engineering activities supporting global Air Separation Unit (ASU) projects. The role ensures safe, high‑quality, and cost‑effective electrical engineering deliverables while developing team capability and supporting predictable project execution.
Nature & Scope
· Supervise and mentor electrical engineers and designers delivering ASU project execution scope.
· Provide technical expertise across MV/LV distribution, grounding, protection, and hazardous area design.
· Coordinate engineering with mechanical, piping, PACO, civil/structural, and process teams.
· Ensure electrical designs comply with Air Products standards and international codes (IEC/IEEE/NFPA/IS).
· Support engineering across all phases—from basic and detailed engineering to construction and commissioning.
· Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and vendor technical discussions.
· Drive team capability development, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise electrical engineering work for ASU projects.
· Prepare, review, and approve SLDs, schematics, load lists, protection studies, and cable schedules.
· Ensure electrical deliverables follow Air Products work processes and safety principles.
· Resolve technical issues and respond to field queries, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
· Support procurement through technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
· Participate in 3D model reviews to ensure constructability and maintainability.
· Provide engineering support during construction, energization, commissioning, and start‑up.
· Promote Our Way of Leading behaviors and support team capability building.
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
· 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within ASU or process industries.
· Experience supervising engineers and designers in project execution environments.
· Strong expertise in MV/LV systems, grounding, protection coordination, and hazardous area design.
· Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and IS codes.
· Strong communication and multi‑discipline collaboration skills.
Preferred:
· Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
· Experience in global EPC/EPCM execution structures.
· Proficiency with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM.
· Experience with digital engineering and 3D model review tools.
Licenses / Certifications:
· Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent (Preferred).

· Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
Work Hours
Standard business hours; with flexibility for global coordination, project peaks, critical milestones and reporting.
Travel
0–10% domestic or international travel for reviews, supplier meetings, site support. May also be deputed for short/long term site assignment based on project requirements.
