Marsh · Hybride · Dublin - Frame

Company:

Marsh

Description:

Marsh is seeking candidates for the position of Global Editorial Specialist, based in our Dublin office.

What can you expect:

Reporting to our Global Editorial Leader, you will play an essential role in Marsh’s ability to provide compelling and expertly written thought leadership, marketing, and brand content and copy that showcases our depth of knowledge, understanding of our clients’ issues, and familiarity with our businesses and culture. The role is crucial to setting a consistent standard and framework for content and copy shared by Marsh in its external and internal channels.

We are looking for someone who can: edit and produce high-quality content and copy against Marsh standards and multiple project deadlines; confidently offer suggestions to subject matter experts, business leaders, and marketing and communications team members; and is prepared to work in a global, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.

You will be expected to liaise with subject matter experts, business leaders, and marketing and communications team members across multiple disciplines and businesses. You will need familiarity with AI and workflow management tools to efficiently manage a high-volume workload and meet the business's expectations. Using your skills and available tools, you will develop outlines and draft materials; gather, interpret, and fact-check data and insights; analyze and review materials; and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of delivery, to ensure that content and copy is current and engaging.

We will count on you to:

  • Editorial expertise: Write original content and copy at the direction of internal clients and review and revise material provided by internal clients in a range of formats, including reports, articles, scripts, social media messaging, web pages, presentations, and more.
  • Content and copy strategy: Interpret briefs to develop and produce content and copy, providing suggestions on messaging, themes, and outputs through to execution.
  • Research acumen: Research and understand each internal client's needs and target audiences through online searches and AI queries, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Governance: Ensure that editorial standards, legal and compliance standards, quality standards, and brand and voice alignment are upheld.
  • Cross‑business and cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with practice and regional marketing and communications teams, creative teams, digital teams, social media teams, and others from concept development to delivery of final content and copy product on an agreed schedule using workflow tools to track progress.
  • Continuous improvement: Continually raise the bar on deliverables, writing fresh content and copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client-related industry trends and editorial trends. Help shape and mentor others on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice.

What you need to have:

The ideal candidate will be experienced at editing and developing content and copy with the credibility to operate at all levels of a global organization. Ideally, you will have:

  • Relevant experience in a large firm, as a journalist, or as a content developer.
  • Experience in all forms of content and copy development and editing, including for thought leadership, articles, video scripts, social media copy, infographics, marketing campaigns, websites, internal communications, and more.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills given quick turnaround and longer-term deadline-driven engagements within and across Marsh geographies and businesses, as well as with external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret information.
  • Ability to develop copy and content that conforms to prescribed styles and formats.
  • Ability to effectively engage top management, senior leaders, peers, and third parties in focused discussions.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience within the financial services and/or professional services industry.
  • Experience managing projects in complex/matrixed environments.
  • Experience in using AI and other technology tools to manage workflows, support content and copy development and reviews, and improve efficiencies and delivery timetables.

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can collaborate with talented colleagues and have impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.
