Job Summary:
A Driver will be responsible for providing students transportation around in an efficient, safe, and timely manner. In addition to maintaining regular cleaning services for the vehicles; drivers also plan routes based on road conditions.
What you will bring:
Essential Duties:
Drive students to all appointments; doctor visits, etc.
Coordinate all trips leaving the facility each day.
Coordinate cleaning, maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
Keep all vehicles clean and presentable.
Ensure safety of all passengers; safety belts, etc.
At all times, adhere to safety standards and regulations established by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicles Division.
Understand and appropriately apply Amity policies and procedures, and adhere to agency wide practices and regulations.
Protect students' health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and information.
Work with fleet coordinator in maintaining vehicle logs and files.
Ensure vehicle keys are in a secure location with limited access.
Attend workshops, meetings, and trainings as requested by supervisor.
May serve as Community Advocate role in addition to job as requested by community leadership.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma)
Certifications or Licenses:
Required:
Valid AZDPS Fingerprint Clearance card.
Current valid CPR and First Aid certification.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) & ESR (Emergency Service Response) certification.
Current Drivers license
Tuberculosis test from health professional.
Skills/Abilities:
A minimal knowledge of contemporary substance abuse treatment practices in a residential setting.
Ability to relate to residents effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectively under pressure generated through association with substance abuse students.

Faculty who operate a vehicle for company business must be eligible for and covered under the Company’s automobile insurance policy. Eligibility is subject to verification of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy.

Ability to professionally work under pressure with difficult or temperamental students & faculty.
Ability to handle mental and emotional stress related to the position.
Work Conditions:
Generally, in an indoor and outdoor setting.
Will be working with computers.
Active work primarily walking and standing.
Environmental Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be loud.
The temperature in the work environment is usually moderate to cool but can be cold or hot.
Travel:
Will travel locally as needed.
