School Bus Driver – Alexandria International School
The School Bus Driver ensures the safe, punctual, and responsible transport of students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and respectful interaction with students and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation for students, following scheduled routes and school timetables.

• Ensure full compliance with road safety laws, transportation regulations, and school policies.

• Supervise student behavior on the bus, ensuring a calm and respectful environment during travel.

• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and proper functioning.

• Maintain cleanliness, order, and basic upkeep of the bus.

• Report any mechanical issues, delays, or incidents promptly to the school office.

• Assist younger students with boarding and exiting the bus when needed.

• Support school events requiring transport (e.g., educational visits, sports events).

• Maintain accurate logs and adhere to any reporting or record-keeping procedures required by the school or authorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a calm demeanor.

• Ability to manage and interact positively with children of various ages.

• Good knowledge of road conditions and safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of documented experience as a professional bus driver.

• Valid Category D driving license (required for operating buses) and Category B license (standard vehicles).

• Clean driving record and no history of serious traffic violations.

• Ability to pass background checks, including criminal records and health assessments.
