Distribution Performance Lead (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Are you an experienced logistics or distribution professional who enjoys driving operational performance, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring seamless service delivery?
Seven West Media is seeking a Distribution Performance Lead to join our Logistics team on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential of an extension. This role is responsible for supporting the performance and administration of our statewide distribution network ensuring publications including our West Regional and Metropolitan Free Titles, The West Australian and The Sunday Times are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
Working closely with the Logistics Manager and Distribution team, you will play a key role in managing contractor performance and onboarding, compliance, customer service outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives across our distribution network.
About the role:
As the primary point of contact for our network of approximately 300 walkers and contractors across Western Australia, you will be responsible for maintaining operational performance and supporting the ongoing success of our distribution network.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the walker distribution network.
Recruiting, onboarding, and supporting walkers across metropolitan and regional WA.
Monitoring route coverage and maintaining accurate distribution records and mapping.
Managing customer enquiries, investigating delivery issues, and resolving service concerns.
Maintaining contractor compliance and supporting Chain of Responsibility and safety requirements.
Coordinating the receipt and distribution of magazines and other publications.
Monitoring network performance and preparing operational reporting.
Assisting with invoice processing and general logistics administration.
Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and contractor retention.
Supporting projects, contingency planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience in logistics, distribution, operations, or a similar FMCG environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships with contractors, customers, and internal teams.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
High attention to detail and accurate administrative skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
A current driver's licence.
A hands-on approach with a focus on customer service and operational performance.
