Job Description Summary

The Director, Project Controls, Life Science, Project and Development Services will provide oversight for a portfolio of project controls consulting assignments primarily in the United States.

 

 

Job Description

 

Primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:

 

• Support the development of cost and schedule models utilizing detailed engineering design documents, equipment vendor shop drawings and P&ID sets.

• Implement the Cost Engineering Scope: Define the project scope, time period, phases to be estimated, communication channels, and establish any boundaries for estimates or project requirements.

• Develop the project Cost Breakdown Structure: Identify all project scope that impacts project costs.

• Finalize the Project Cost Estimate: Finalize the cost estimate summarized by the established Cost Breakdown Structure.

• Develop a Work Breakdown Structure and baseline project schedule for all engineering, construction and commissioning scopes.

• Establish and oversee an Earned Value Management programs for the engineering and construction scope.

• Track progress of the engineering and construction activities and scope milestones: Collect and monitor data, manage risks, track and control changes and communication. Measure and report on progress status.

• Implement a risk and change management process. Work with process engineers and site team to ensure scope and changes align with project objectives.

• Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing engineering standards, programs, and reports.

• Provide documentation for each cost engineering element, indicating sources of data, assumptions used and any other methodology or analysis.

• Develop project closeout documentation. Ensure that all project costs have been accurately captured and reported for site engineering use.

 

Job requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other directly related field of study or other directly related field of study; plus 10 years (120 months) of experience in the offered position or other closely related positions.  In the alternate, employer will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other directly related field of study or other directly related field of study; plus 8 years (96 months) of experience in the offered position or other closely related positions.  Experiences may be concurrent. May work remotely from home. Must be willing to travel domestically to various client offices (25-50%).

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 165,750.00 - $195,000.00
