Job Profile

As Director, Procurement - Tech Services, you will lead procurement strategy for a significant Tech Professional Services portfolio within Digital & Technology Procurement. You will manage a portfolio of up to £350m and work with senior stakeholders and strategic technology partners to deliver value, strengthen supply resilience and support GSK’s business priorities. The portfolio includes systems integration, implementation, engineering, application and managed services, and other specialist technology delivery models.

This is a global leadership role for an experienced procurement professional who combines strong commercial judgement with knowledge of technology services markets. You will build trusted relationships, lead complex negotiations and translate business needs into practical sourcing and supplier strategies that deliver measurable value.

In this role you will

• Create and deliver global sourcing strategies for Tech Professional Services portfolio of up to £350m, translating business priorities and market insight into multi-year sourcing and supplier strategies.
• Partner with senior Digital & Technology stakeholders, Finance and other functions to identify opportunities, develop business cases and ensure global category decisions reflect business unit and local requirements.
• Shape sourcing, contracting and supplier strategies that harness AI-enabled delivery models, automation and data-driven insights to improve productivity, reduce cost and accelerate outcomes, with clear baselines and measurable benefit realisation.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and establish strategic supplier relationships and governance that improve value, performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Deliver sustainable commercial benefits while balancing service quality, supply resilience, risk, compliance, cost and innovation.
• Lead and develop Procurement colleagues and cross-functional category teams, building the capability needed to deliver GSK’s strategy now and in the future.
• Communicate category strategies, decisions and outcomes clearly across Procurement and business networks to build understanding, commitment and adoption.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in procurement and sourcing, managing significant spend areas and strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across Technology, Finance, Procurement and business leadership teams to drive alignment and results.
• Experience in services-sourcing categories, particularly people or professional services, including supplier management.

Preferred Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Master’s degree, MBA or relevant professional qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in technology procurement, particularly Technology Services; large-scale technology outsourcing or supplier-consolidation programmes are especially relevant.
• Broader technology procurement exposure across software, data and AI.
