JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Graduate Business Programs provides college-wide leadership and operational coordination for the E. J. Ourso College of Business graduate portfolio, with direct strategic and administrative responsibility for the Flores MBA Program. The Director leads the Office of Graduate Business Programs (OGBP), the centralized student services and administrative hub supporting the College’s master’s, graduate certificate, and doctoral programs. The role provides direct leadership for the Flores MBA Program, overseeing strategy, enrollment, operations, and the student and academic experience across the Full-Time MBA, Online MBA, and Executive MBA Flex formats. Working closely with professional staff, faculty, and College leadership, the Director advances academic quality, student success, program performance, and the overall effectiveness of graduate business education across the College.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

50% - MBA Program Leadership, Student Lifecycle & Experience - Provide strategic and operational leadership for the MBA program and the full student lifecycle, including recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, advising, student engagement, and professional development. Lead and coordinate the program’s professional staff and faculty across recruiting, marketing, instruction, academic and student services, career development, alumni engagement, and corporate partnerships, ensuring an integrated and high-quality student experience. Oversee experiential and co-curricular programming, including orientation, global immersion experiences, consulting projects, leadership development, and professional workshops.

20%- MBA Academic Strategy, Quality & Operational Effectiveness - Lead academic planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement for the MBA portfolio across campus-based and online formats. Partner with faculty on curriculum development, academic planning, instructional resource allocation, program assessment, AACSB accreditation, and assurance of learning. Oversee the policies, systems, and administrative processes supporting MBA operations to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with broader College priorities.

20% - Graduate Portfolio Leadership & OGBP Operations - Provide leadership and operational oversight for the College's graduate business programs. Supervise six professional staff and provide administrative leadership for four MBA faculty, managing priorities, performance, and resources. Exercise direct budget authority for the MBA portfolio, including annual planning, revenue targets, enrollment-driven financial performance, expenditures, and resource allocation. Supervise the Budget Manager in monitoring performance, forecasting revenue and expenses, and projecting financial outcomes. Partner with College leadership, academic chairs, and program directors to ensure effective operations, consistent service standards, and long-term financial sustainability.

5% - Graduate Portfolio Assessment & Strategic Development - Support College leadership and academic units in the ongoing evaluation and strategic development of the graduate business portfolio, including analysis of enrollment and student outcomes, market demand, program performance, curriculum requirements, resource considerations, and external partnership opportunities. Identify opportunities to strengthen alignment, differentiation, and long-term sustainability across graduate offerings.

5% - Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Business, management, higher education administration, or a related field

Specific Experience: Experience in higer education, graduate/professional education, business, industry, or related environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: PhD

Years of Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably within higher education, graduate management education, or a similarly complex professional environment.

Specific Experience: Extensive leadership experience in graduate management education, preferably including direct oversight of MBA programs across multiple delivery formats. Experience with AACSB accreditation and assurance of learning; graduate enrollment strategy; academic program development and assessment; instructional and operating budgets; online and executive education; experiential and global programming; and corporate and alumni engagement. Demonstrated success leading professional staff, collaborating with faculty, and developing or scaling academic programs in a complex university environment.
