Position Overview

Joyce is seeking a Director of Field Marketing to lead our face-to-face lead generation strategy across Events, Canvassing, and Retail. This leader will strengthen and grow our existing event marketing operation while partnering with Joyce leadership to establish scalable canvassing and retail programs. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position owns field marketing budgets, staffing plans, channel performance, and results across multiple markets.

We are looking for a motivating, hands-on leader who develops strong managers, builds talented teams, leads from the front, and takes accountability for performance. The ideal candidate brings urgency, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Compensation

·         Base salary: $85,000, plus performance-based override bonuses from all field marketing divisions (Events, Canvassing, and Retail).

·         $500/month car allowance and $100/month phone allowance. Full-time position.

What You’ll Do

·         Lead, coach, and develop Event Marketing Managers and field teams across Joyce markets. Own the annual calendar of home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events; improve event productivity and eliminate low-return activities.

·         Partner with Joyce leadership to design and launch canvassing programs, including territories, targeting, scripts, compensation plans, and daily operating routines. Recruit, train, and scale teams market by market, including neighborhood outreach around completed installations.

·         Build the retail marketing channel, including sourcing and negotiating retail partnerships, launching locations, hiring and training representatives, and establishing consistent operating standards and partner compliance.

·         Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop local marketing leaders and field employees, building a reliable management and talent pipeline.

·         Set and manage monthly targets for appointments set, issued leads, issue rate, and cost per issued lead by channel. Own field marketing budgets, staffing plans, and operational accountability.

·         Partner closely with the Call Center on confirmation and appointment fill, and with Sales on demonstration rates and lead quality.

·         Track performance in Salesforce, report weekly on channel results, and implement improvements based on measurable outcomes.

·         Travel regularly to Joyce markets to support local managers, coach teams firsthand, and reinforce a high-performance, customer-first culture.

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You Have:

·         5+ years of experience in field, event, retail, or canvassing marketing, including 2+ years leading regional or multi-market teams.

·         Demonstrated success recruiting, training, coaching, and holding managers and field teams accountable for results.

·         Experience launching a new lead generation channel or building a team from the ground up.

·         A proven track record managing lead generation goals, operating budgets, and performance metrics.

·         Strong understanding of field marketing funnels and confidence using CRM reporting tools, including Salesforce.

·         Experience in home improvement or another industry involving in-home sales strongly preferred.

·         A proactive, motivating leadership style and willingness to work directly with teams in the field.

·         Ability to travel regularly, including some evenings and weekends; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
