About the role

As our Head of Hardlines, Licensing & Extended Line, you'll define and lead the future strategy for the Hardlines licensed business within the LEGO Group. Based in Copenhagen, you'll shape the category roadmap, grow and optimize the product portfolio, and build strong licensing partnerships that extend the reach of the LEGO® brand. You'll lead a small team, work closely with stakeholders across product development, creative, and commercial functions, and play an active role on the Licensing & Extended Line Leadership Team.

Required Qualifications

• Delivered solid track record of outbound licensing experience with a strong focus on Hardlines, ideally in a global environment.
• Built category strategies and roadmaps that translated business objectives into commercial results.
• Led the development of premium brands through licensing partnerships.
• Managed complex internal and external stakeholder networks within matrix organizations.
• Directed teams and people toward shared business and category goals.
• Applied analytical skills to assess commercial performance and identify market opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed a master's degree in a business-related field or gained equivalent professional experience.

What you'll build

• Create and drive the Hardlines strategy and category roadmap with key stakeholders.
• Grow and optimize the Hardlines product portfolio through innovation and portfolio management.
• Own key licensing partner relationships and support long-term commercial success.
• Partner closely with creative teams to deliver high-quality product assortments.
• Expand presence across priority markets and key retail partners.
• Establish and develop a newly formed Hardlines team.

The Hardlines team is part of the Global Licensing & Extended Line organization. LEL is globally developing all non-brick physical consumer products for the LEGO Group. Together, we work to amplify the reach and relevance of the LEGO brand through high-quality products and experiences. You'll join a collaborative team environment where relationship building, curiosity, initiative, confidence, and partnership are valued. We work closely across functions and encourage different perspectives as we solve challenges together.

What success looks like

Success means creating a clear direction for the Hardlines category, building strong licensing partnerships, and developing a focused portfolio that strengthens consumer engagement. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll help shape the future growth of the business while working closely with licensing partners, product development teams, creative leaders, and senior stakeholders across the organization. You'll be at the center of turning opportunity into long-term impact for the category.
