Job Purpose

The Finance and Procurement (F&P) MDM CoE Lead is responsible for enforcing Enterprise Master Data Governance within the Finance and Procurement domain across all Master Data Objects (MDOs). The role prioritizes the Enterprise/MDG-governed master data object implementation initiative and ensures that the strategy is also delivered for non-enterprise master data objects, supporting reliable, consistent and fit-for-business-use data.

The F&P MDM CoE Lead is responsible for establishing and managing governance, quality, operational processes and strategic initiatives for F&P non-enterprise MDOs within the scope of the MDM Centre of Excellence (CoE). The CoE Lead is also required to work with the Enterprise Finance Domain Lead to drive actions aligned with Enterprise requirements for MDG-governed MDOs. The role acts as the primary bridge between business, operations and technology teams, ensuring trusted, standardized and business-ready master data across the enterprise, while working with Enterprise Governance to translate strategy into action.

Acting as the primary point of governance execution, the role works closely with Data Owners, Business and Data Stewards, and aligns with the Enterprise MDM Lead and Finance Domain Lead to ensure consistent application of governance across the F&P domain. The individual will drive data governance adoption, process harmonization, data quality improvement, stakeholder alignment and MDM transformation initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and measurable business value realization.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Governance Enablement

• Manage and coordinate Master Data initiatives and projects within the F&P domain.
• Manage the Data Governance implementation roadmap designed for F&P, enforce enterprise data policies, standards and definitions within the F&P domain, and embed governance rules into domain processes, workflows and systems such as MDG.
• Own the end-to-end governance of MDM business processes (CRUD) and the operational execution of MDOs created or supported by the Genpact Operations team.
• Work closely with GPOs and Data Owners to drive process standardization across sub-processes and regions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the Data Governance Framework.
• Participate in the Enterprise MDM Governance Council with the Enterprise MDM Lead, representing the domain and escalating cross-domain issues.
• Liaise with the GSC MDM Lead to ensure consistent governance and KPI frameworks for non-enterprise data objects.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements.
• Prepare training plans and conduct training sessions on Data Governance policies, standards and processes to raise awareness.

Master Data Quality Management

• Define and monitor domain-level data quality KPIs aligned with the Enterprise Data Quality Framework.
• Ensure systematic identification, prioritization and resolution of data quality issues within the domain, addressing root causes and driving continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the Tech Lead for the EDQA dashboard to ensure a timely and accurate data quality reporting mechanism.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness.
• Own the resolution of domain-level data issues across all functional processes; escalate cross-domain or policy-related issues to the Enterprise MDM Lead with clear impact assessments and resolution proposals.
• Support to Master Data Governance Stakeholders
• Act as the primary point of contact for F&P MDO governance matters.
• Lead Business Data Stewards to ensure the effective execution of governance processes, monitoring, issue triage and domain lifecycle controls.
• Work closely with the Genpact Operations Lead to ensure operational excellence in the creation of MDOs under Genpact’s purview.
• Partner with other MDM Governance stakeholders, including Data Owners/GPOs and the MDM&S Lead, to operationalize agreed data definitions, standards and policies within the domain.
• Work closely with the Enterprise MDM Lead to ensure cross-domain alignment, report on domain governance performance and contribute to enterprise-level decision-making.

Support to Master Data Governance Stakeholders

• Act as the primary point of contact for F&P MDO governance matters.
• Lead Business Data Stewards to ensure the effective execution of governance processes, monitoring, issue triage and domain lifecycle controls.
• Work closely with the Genpact Operations Lead to ensure operational excellence in the creation of MDOs under Genpact’s purview.

Why you?

• 18+ years of experience with Master’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent with 10+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives across business and technology stakeholders within a finance domain or process area, together with relevant exposure to large platforms and applications in technology development, testing and maintenance.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior management role, with exposure to senior leadership of large corporations and accountability for driving function-wide initiatives and leadership governance.
• Business knowledge of ERP-enabled transformations.
• Solid understanding of Data Governance, Data Management and Master Data Management.
• Proven experience working with one or more enterprise master data domains, such as Material, Customer, Supplier or Finance.
• Experience driving domain-level governance decisions, resolving cross-functional issues and coordinating stakeholders across functions, markets and geographies.
• Experience participating in or leading domain governance forums, working groups or steering committees.
