Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As Director, DTC Planning & Allocations - NAM, you will lead the end-to-end Retail and eCommerce DTC planning strategy across North America, driving growth, profitability, inventory productivity, and customer experience. You will develop annual, seasonal, and long-range plans while overseeing inventory, sales, margin, and operational planning strategies across the product lifecycle. You will lead high-performing teams across Merchandise Financial Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Planning, while advancing planning transformation initiatives, automation, and o9 capabilities. Partnering cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Digital, and Regional Commercial leaders, you will translate business priorities into actionable strategies and data-driven decisions that support regional objectives and business growth.This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

You’ll join our regional planning and allocations team – the group responsible for planning and allocating product across every Direct-to-Consumer touchpoint in the region, spanning merchandise financial planning, demand planning, inventory planning, and allocations. Together, we make sure the right product reaches the right place at the right time, balancing growth, profitability, inventory productivity, and an exceptional guest experience across Retail and eCommerce. If you were in the Director, DTC Planning & Allocations – NAM role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Owning the end-to-end planning strategy for Retail and eCommerce DTC across the North American region
Developing annual, seasonal, and long-range plans in alignment with company objectives
Establishing inventory, sales, margin, and productivity targets to support growth and profitability
Developing a holistic, strategic, approach to inventory throughout the product lifecycle to meet plan and minimize stock outs
Ensuring planning strategies support growth and profitability objectives
Building best-in-class planning teams across; Merchandise Financial Planning, Demand Planning and Inventory Planning.
Owning adoption and optimization of o9, our enterprise planning platform
Driving automation and exception-based planning process to improve efficiency and responsiveness
Leading planning process improvement and transformation initiatives
Developing and executing the DTC planning strategy aligned with business and regional priorities
Balancing growth, profitability, inventory productivity, and customer experience across channels
Partnering cross functionally and influencing cross-functional decision making across Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Digital
Translating business priorities into actionable planning strategies and execution plans
Anticipating business risks and proactively developing mitigation plans to address
Driving organizational transformation and planning maturity, supporting organizational change and advancement of planning capabilities and process
Leveraging data-driven insights to influence business decisions and planning outcomes
Partnering with the Regional Commercial leadership team on business planning strategy, supporting key account business growth, while controlling inventory risks
Overseeing inventory forecasting, allocation, and resolution strategies across business units while ensuring alignment to regional objectives

Contributing to the creation of a regional product framework and assortment structure that guides merchant execution within retail stores, ecommerce channels and wholesale to maximize sales, profit and brand positioning
Leading the creation of differentiated product strategies by channel, region and format at scale to achieve revenue and product margin goals through product range, life cycle management and pricing

You have 10+ years’ experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, or allocation
You have 5+ years experience leading managers and multi-level planning organization
You have a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of a multi-year business strategy
You have expertise in merchandise financial planning, open to buy, demand planning, inventory planning, and/or allocation & replenishment
You have experience in SAP and merchandise planning solutions
You have advanced skills in Excel
You have strong business acumen with the ability to lead in a complex matrix business environment
You drive organizational excellence through continuous communication and proactive, solutions-based approaches
You have strong influential leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the business
You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is CAD$167,000 - CAD$205,000
