The Director, Client Solutions will hire and allocate resources, conduct employee reviews and evaluations, participate in strategic deals, and support team members as needed to grow the regional business. This individual will serve as a player-coach, actively working with team members to solve complex problems and coordinating corporate and external resources when required. 

The Director, Client Solutions will support the Solutions Architecture team by providing guidance on sales strategies and approaches to solving specific problems.  

How you’ll make an impact 

• Participate in quarterly and annual strategic planning sessions with the Sales Management team to create a local sales plan that drives revenue. 
• Communicate sales plans to employees within the region. 
• Identify resources needed to support the sales strategy and develop a proposed budget for Senior Management review. 
• Keep Senior Management informed of key issues and changes that may impact expected business results. 
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure departmental goals are met. 
• Provide guidance on strategic, program, and project initiatives. 
• Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives in partnership with the Sales organization. 
• Use the sales process to develop account plans in partnership with the Sales organization. 
• Manage and prioritize sales opportunities. 
• Obtain top-tier vendor and industry-related certifications. 

What we’re looking for 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable work experience. 
• Five or more years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales capacity within an IT security environment. 
• Five or more years of security experience in all of the following areas: Firewall Intrusion Prevention Systems Data Loss Prevention Security Information and Event Management Application security Web security 
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the following areas: Payment Card Industry Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Sarbanes-Oxley Act Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act 
• Proven track record of managing technical personnel. 
• Ability to gain the cooperation of others through leadership, mentoring, management, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, Account Managers, and management. 
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. 
• Highly motivated self-starter who does not require day-to-day management. 
• Valid U.S. driver’s license. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to travel within the assigned region. 

What we’d like to see 

• CISSP or other professional certifications. 
• Certifications with one or more of the following core technology solutions partners: Palo Alto Networks Check Point McAfee F5 Blue Coat IBM Cisco RSA 
• Strong relationships with security experts within the region. 
• History of awards or recognition for exceptional technical ability and added value.

Salary Range Description

The Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.
