Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division & market) and its customers throughout the digital solution proposals with respect to technical and commercial aspects. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by determining the costs and preparing final documentation.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Energy Industries China. Main stakeholders are sales team and Digital Project execution team.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective digital solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers.
- Offering technical proposal and providing comment on inquiry specifications to customers/channels/Sales Specialists regarding ABB products/systems/applications.
- Providing digital solution technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations, and negotiations.
- Performing analytical and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable digital solution that meets the customer needs.

Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in and you enjoy working with digital solution design methodologies, technical proposal management tools, and the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharma, and Food & Beverage industry markets. You demonstrate proven expertise in translating complex customer requirements into technically appropriate and cost-effective digital solutions.
- You have demonstrated experience in at least one of the following segments: Oil Gas & Chemical, Pharma or Food Beverage, with 5 years of professional experience in Digital Proposal Development/Execution and technical solution engineering. You can showcase successful track records in preparing demanding technical offers and delivering complex digital solutions.
- You are highly adept in specialized software platforms for digital proposal management, CAD tools, solution design software, and ERP/CRM systems used in technical sales environments.
- You are passionate about technical problem-solving, customer experience success, and innovative solution development. You are captivated by market analysis and competitive positioning, bringing strong capabilities in analytical and diagnostic studies.
- You possess a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field. You have an extensive track record in solution/application sales engineering and demonstrated knowledge of pricing excellence and contract management.
- You are at ease communicating in English and Mandarin Chinese (or relevant local language for your assignment location), with ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations to both internal staff and customers.
- You hold required work authorization and VISA valid in your assigned job location in China (or applicable country), as required by local regulations.
