The Raytheon Orchestration and Container Kubernetes Service (ROCKS) team builds the automation products and Kubernetes-based platform that classified program teams across Raytheon use to deploy and manage infrastructure and applications in closed-area environments. As an Automation Engineer, you will engage with System Administrators and DevOps teams across Raytheon programs as our internal program teams leverage automation and platform products to start and accelerate their automation and containerization journeys.
This role works primarily with classified program teams in Raytheon’s closed areas, partnering with System Administrators to assess operational goals and prepare for adoption of products from the ROCKS portfolio. Working closely with the ROCKS Automation and Platform team pillars, you will provide recommendations and knowledge transfer throughout each program’s adoption journey—supporting System Administrators as they deploy and scale Infrastructure-as-Code and Kubernetes-based solutions—and provide ongoing support to align roadmaps to optimize their operations and maintenance.
You will coordinate with application engineering teams to help ensure application deployments and lifecycle management stay consistent with ROCKS standards, so classified program environments can take full advantage of ROCKS automation — managing more applications, applying upgrades on schedule, and reducing operational risk.
