Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

●    Must respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution within the agreed SLA
            Please see some of the requests below:
-    Performs devops-related deployment tasks deployment of infrastructure 
-    Performs infra hardening to secure the systems from known risks and vulnerabilities
-    Complies with all operational standards and other requirements as defined in the ITS system implementation standards
-    Provides infra support during testing
-    Performs server migration and cutover to production; provides onsite support during these activities.
-    Provide support on other infra-related SR activities.
●    Cater to other groups and individuals' requests within ITS, ITS customers
●    Provide technical expertise, knowledge, and guidance to other network implementation engineers
●    Coordinates with vendors and suppliers when it comes to server and cloud service fulfillment if needed.
●    Provide extended assistance to issues related to server and cloud, if needed.
●    Knowledge transfer to L2/L3 ITS team
●    Assist vendors in the installation of devices, if needed.
●    Regular implementation standard review with ITS sysad/cloud team
●    Regular peer review of infra design,  if needed.
●    Regular peer review with L2/L3 ITS,  if needed.
●    Technical and Process planning with O&M and ITS
●    Operational requirement standard review
●    Attend Operational reporting review
●    Attend team meetings, huddles, DSU, trainings, and KT sessions

NATURE OF PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
●    Problems encountered are issues with production infra and service request implementations.

REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience
A.    3+ years’ experience working in system administration/ cloud implementations.
B.    Solid understanding of test methodologies, test design and test best practices to manage service performance KPIs and root cause analysis
C.    High familiarity with different infra technology
-    Infrastructure as Code - AWS Cloudformation, Ansible, Packer
-    Scripting Language - Python, AWS CLI, Boto
-    Containers - Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AWS Fargate, PKS, GKE, Docker 
-    Different cloud providers - Google Cloud, Azure, etc.
-    Continuous Integration - Git, Gitlab,  Jenkins
-    Continuous Deployment - Jenkins, Gitlab
-    Continuous Monitoring - Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus
-    Continuous Testing - Gremlin (Chaos Engineering)
-    Serverless - Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless, AWS MKS
-    Opensource DBs - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB
-    Infrastructure as a Code - Software defined network, Software defined storage
-    Containers - Service Mesh
-    Propose and design infra solutions based on system and user requirements
-    Create infra implementation guide and work plans
-    Assess and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
-    Discuss technical recommendations and solutions with end-users and stakeholders

D.    Significant test automation skills around designing, building and maintaining test frameworks 
E.    Good experience in defining test scenarios from requirements and acceptance criteria 
F.    Good in time management, communication and collaboration 
G.    Good in problem solving and handling pressure.
H.    Familiarity and knowledge with agile delivery methodologies 

Level of Knowledge: 2, 3
Level 2 – Experienced: 3-4 years of work experience in the desired/closely related area(s)  
Level 3 – Solid: 5-7 years of work experience in the desired/closely related area(s)  

Certification:
Professional certification in Cisco and/or Huawei technologies
AWS Practitioner
Google Network Associate
