Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) – Part-Time / On-Call

💲 Pay Range: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour
Looking for flexible nursing opportunities? Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dependable Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our team on a part-time/on-call basis. In this role, you'll provide quality nursing care, support residents' health and well-being, and work alongside a dedicated healthcare team in a skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to physicians and nursing leadership.
- Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Support and supervise CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
- Respond professionally to resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain nursing supplies and medication inventory.
Qualifications
- Current and active California LVN/LPN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred.
- PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
