Key Responsibilities
1. Demand & Supply Coordination
- Own and develop the 36‑month rolling ANZ Demand Plan, aligned to business strategy and market outlook.
- Translate unconstrained demand into a constrained and executable Supply Plan, considering capacity, lead times, inventory policies, and supplier constraints.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance and Operations to align demand assumptions, supply feasibility and service outcomes.
- Support product ranging, lifecycle management, and promotional planning by identifying demand, supply, and inventory risks and opportunities.
- Act as Data Owner for demand and supply planning data, ensuring accuracy, consistency and governance.
- Contribute actively to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle, including scenario modelling and decision support.
- Support end‑to‑end planning initiatives across demand, supply, inventory and availability.
2. Demand Planning
- Create and maintain the Rolling Demand Plan (RDP) at a granular level (baseline, promotions, trade marketing, media, warranty, new product introductions, and range changes).
- Analyse historical sales trends, demand drivers, seasonality and external factors to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Build, maintain and evaluate statistical forecasting models, incorporating qualitative inputs where required.
- Monitor and communicate significant changes in demand, forecast accuracy, and market conditions.
- Reconcile forecast variances through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Create, maintain and evolve size curves and forecast profiles.
- Prepare and maintain demand planning reports aligned to local and global planning timelines.
3. Supply Planning
- Develop and maintain a medium‑ to long‑term Supply Plan that supports the demand forecast and inventory targets across the ANZ network.
- Align supply plans with supplier capacity, manufacturing constraints, transport lead times, and inventory policies.
- Convert demand and supply plans into purchasing and replenishment signals to support purchasing and production planning.
- Partner with Procurement, Production Planning, and Logistics to proactively manage supply risks including shortages, delays, and constraints.
- Support inventory optimisation by balancing service level targets, stock turns, safety stock and reorder parameters.
- Coordinate supply readiness for promotions, new product launches, supersedes and phase‑outs.
5. Continuous Improvement & Process Monitoring
- Propose and implement initiatives to improve forecast accuracy, supply responsiveness, and inventory efficiency.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement and transformation of Demand and Supply Planning systems and tools.
- Support planning maturity uplift across IBP, scenario planning, and cross‑functional decision making.
- Monitor demand and supply performance to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities (e.g. slow moving stock, excess, obsolescence, service risks).
- Develop, document and improve demand and supply planning processes, standards, and best practices.
- Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to planning system functionality.
- Lead and coordinate planning activities related to superseded items, product lifecycle transitions, and stock run‑in/run‑out.
6. Reporting & Performance Management
- Track, analyse and report on key Demand & Supply KPIs, including:
- Demand Plan accuracy
- Demand Plan reliability
- Supply plan adherence
- Product availability / service levels
- Inventory management and stock turn
- Order fulfilment performance
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision making at operational and IBP forums.
7. Coordination & Collaboration
- Liaise with internal teams including Purchasing, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production Planning, Logistics and Customer Service to ensure aligned planning outcomes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners as required to improve forecast accuracy, supply reliability, and service performance.
- Act as a key planning point of contact across demand, supply, and inventory domains.
