What would you do? The FP&A Manager is responsible for leading the organization s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, profitability analysis, and strategic decision support activities. The role partners with business leaders, actuarial, underwriting, claims, investments, and finance teams to drive financial performance, improve profitability, and support strategic business decisions. The incumbent will provide insights into revenue growth, claims performance, expense management, capital planning, and overall financial health of the insurance business.
What are we looking for? •Adaptable and flexible Qualifications Education • Bachelor s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or Business Administration. • MBA (Finance), CA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent preferred. Process Improvement & Digital Finance • Drive automation of reporting and forecasting processes. • Enhance financial planning models and analytical capabilities. • Utilize Power BI, analytics, and visualization tools for decision support. • Improve forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency. • Support finance transformation initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities: •Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Budgeting • Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning process. • Coordinate operating plans across business units and functions. • Develop financial models to support business strategies. • Consolidate and review budgets across underwriting, claims, investments, and corporate functions. • Ensure alignment of plans with organizational objectives. Forecasting & Financial Analysis • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts. • Analyze actual results against budget and forecast. 1 • Perform variance analysis and identify key performance drivers. • Assess the financial impact of business initiatives and market changes. • Support scenario planning and stress-testing exercises. Insurance Business Performance Analysis • Analyze premium revenue trends and portfolio profitability. • Monitor claims ratios, loss ratios, expense ratios, and combined ratios. • Evaluate underwriting performance by product, geography, and channel. • Support profitability analysis for insurance products and customer segments. • Provide insights on claim costs and reserve movements. Strategic Business Partnering • Partner with business leaders to support decision-making. • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. • Support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and new product launches. • Act as the finance advisor to operational and commercial teams. • Drive accountability for financial performance across business units. Management Reporting • Prepare executive dashboards and board reporting packs. • Develop KPI reporting frameworks and performance scorecards. • Present financial performance and forecasts to leadership teams. • Provide actionable recommendations to improve results. • Monitor achievement of strategic and financial targets. Capital & Investment Planning • Support capital allocation and solvency planning. • Analyze investment portfolio performance in coordination with treasury and investment teams. • Assist in capital adequacy and regulatory planning. 2 • Model financial impacts of investment strategies.
