Optimiza is seeking to hire a Database Developer, who is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions to ensure high performance, security, scalability, and data integrity. The role involves developing and optimizing database objects, supporting data migration and integration activities, monitoring database performance, and implementing security best practices. The Database Developer collaborates with software engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable data solutions that support business and application requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain database systems, ensuring high performance and security.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Ensure database integrity, data consistency, and scalability.
- Collaborate with software developers and other teams to define database requirements and solutions.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including backup, restoration, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including slow queries and data discrepancies.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive and confidential information.
- Ensure compliance with data regulations and standards.
- Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Plan, develop, and execute data migration activities, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), data mapping, data cleansing, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accurate and successful migration between legacy and target systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in one or more Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
- Strong SQL programming skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Experience in database design, data modeling, normalization, and maintaining data integrity.
- Knowledge of query optimization, indexing, execution plans, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and basic database administration tasks.
- Experience in data migration, including ETL processes, data mapping, data transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of database security concepts, including user permissions, roles, and access control.
- Experience using version control and database deployment tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
