About This Job

Key Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT components and DBT models following standards and peer review.
• Instrument pipelines with validations and basic observability (logs, metrics, alerts).
• Write unit/integration tests; package and deploy via CI/CD; contribute to documentation and runbooks.
• Support BA in mapping source→target and implementing acceptance criteria; collaborate with Scrum Master on sprint commitments.
• Assist in defect triage and timely remediation within sprint.

Outcomes & KPIs

• Consistent delivery to DoD with improving First‑Pass Quality.
• Adherence to data quality checks; on‑time pipeline runs against schedule.

Qualifications 

• 3–6 years in data engineering with strong SQL and working experience in SSIS and/or  DBT; Python for transformations/utilities. 
• Familiarity with Fivetran connectors, Tableau/SSRS, and Git‑based development;  exposure to CI/CD and observability preferred. 

Tools & Stack (Pod) 

• Data: SQL Server, SSIS, DBT, Python, Fivetran 
• BI/Reporting: Tableau, SSRS 
• DevOps/Workflow: Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub (migration/hardening), CI/CD 
• Governance: Collibra (lineage/catalog), Apigee/OutSystems (where applicable)
