About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Customer Operations Specialist to join our German-speaking Order Fulfillment team in Budapest. You'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders move efficiently through the entire order lifecycle. You'll take ownership of more complex operational activities, proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the customer, and collaborate with multiple business functions to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.

You'll also act as a trusted operational partner to the Team Lead, helping to support daily operations, sharing your expertise with colleagues, assisting with onboarding and knowledge sharing, and helping the team maintain high levels of quality and service.

This role is ideal for experienced order management or customer operations professionals who enjoy solving complex problems, working cross-functionally and taking ownership in a fast-paced international environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage customer orders throughout the entire order lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely execution

• Review operational reports to identify orders requiring intervention and proactively drive resolution

• Investigate complex order issues and coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and Customer Care to ensure timely resolution

• Monitor open orders and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders

• Support quotations, customer master data maintenance and other customer operations activities

• Maintain high levels of data accuracy across SAP and other business systems

• Resolve email and phone customer enquiries and operational escalations while delivering an outstanding customer experience

• Build strong working relationships with customers and cross-functional business partners

• Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

• Contribute to operational excellence by sharing knowledge, best practices and supporting team initiatives

• Support the Team Lead with day-to-day operational coordination, helping to ensure workload is managed effectively and service levels are maintained

• Share knowledge and best practices, supporting onboarding, training and the development of less experienced colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken

• Approximately 4 years of experience within Customer Operations, Order Management, Order Fulfillment, Customer Service Administration, Sales Support or a Shared Services environment

• Experience managing complex customer orders and supporting end-to-end order fulfillment processes

• Strong SAP knowledge; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is an advantage

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

• High attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy

• Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, candidates with relevant professional experience will also be considered

Nice to Have

• Salesforce or other CRM experience

• Experience reviewing operational reports, dashboards or KPIs

• Exposure to Supply Chain, Logistics or Manufacturing operations

• Experience participating in process improvement initiatives

• Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence methodologies

• Fluency in other European languages (i.e. French, Italian, Spanish, Finnish etc)
