Role Title: Customer Marketing Manager – Pet Specialty Retail
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Hours & Arrangement: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract until November 2027
Reporting to: Pet Specialty Retail Customer Marketing Lead

We're looking for a commercially minded and customer-focused Customer Marketing Manager to join our Pet Specialty Retail team. In this role, you'll bring together shopper, customer and category insights to develop impactful marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen retailer partnerships and create exceptional omnichannel experiences across the pet specialty channel

You’ll lead the development and execution of customer marketing plans that support both retailer objectives and Royal Canin's growth ambitions. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Portfolio, Brand, Media, Category and Finance teams to deliver integrated activation programs that drive engagement, conversion and long-term category growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, building strong customer relationships and influencing outcomes across a complex stakeholder network

What will you do?

• Lead customer marketing strategy and activation plans for key Pet Specialty Retail customers.
• Translate customer, shopper and category insights into joint business growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute annual customer marketing plans, campaigns, promotions and retailer activations.
• Adapt brand and portfolio strategies into customer-specific programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Drive omnichannel activations across in-store, digital shelf, retail media, loyalty and other retailer touchpoints.
• Partner with retailers to enhance digital commerce performance through Perfect Digital Store principles, improving traffic, conversion and basket growth.
• Manage customer marketing investment and A&CP budgets, ensuring strong ROI and effectiveness tracking.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer marketing teams and key stakeholders.
• Support retailer conferences, customer engagement initiatives and brand immersion experiences.
• Champion customer and shopper needs internally to ensure alignment across business priorities

What will you bring?

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Customer Development or a related commercial function.
• Strong ability to turn insights into actionable commercial recommendations.
• Experience working within FMCG, consumer goods or retail environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong project management, presentation and communication capabilities.
• Advanced analytical skills
• Experience within the pet care or veterinary industry will be highly regarded
