Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Base Software Linux Lead to architect and lead the development of embedded Linux platforms for automotive ECUs and domain controllers. The ideal candidate will drive the integration of foundational software components, ensuring performance, safety, and scalability across infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of embedded Linux base software for automotive platforms (Qualcomm, NXP, TI, Renesas, ).
Architecture and conceptualization of overall system architecture, bootloader, Kernel, device drivers
Define and maintain BSPs, bootloaders, kernel configurations, and device drivers.
Collaborate with hardware, middleware, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Drive compliance with automotive standards including ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity (ISO 21434).
Optimize system performance, boot time, and resource utilization.
Manage Yocto-based Linux distributions and custom build environments.
Interface with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, and OEMs to align platform requirements.
Mentor and guide a team of embedded Linux engineers across multiple vehicle programs.
Own the base software roadmap and contribute to platform strategy
Conduct testing and debugging of functionalities to ensure functionality and quality.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams across globe


Professional & Technical Skills:
Technical Experience:
Overall, 12+ years of experience in Infotainment domain with experience in Android Development.
Strong experience in embedded Linux development (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.).
Expertise in kernel development, device drivers, and low-level debugging.
Familiarity with automotive hardware platforms (ARM, x86, RISC-V).
Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Knowledge of secure boot, OTA update mechanisms, and system diagnostics.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience in Hypervisor based architecture
Proficiency in Embedded C, C++ programming languages.
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
Knowledge in working with Infotainment setup.
Knowledge in cloud platform
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross functional team.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
