Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that integrate seamlessly across various systems and applications. The role requires continuous collaboration with different teams to ensure that the software components are scalable and perform efficiently. Utilizing modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, the engineer focuses on enhancing existing functionalities and delivering innovative features that meet evolving business requirements. This position demands adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic work environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the implementation of best practices to improve software quality and delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align project goals with organizational objectives.
Should be a strong advocate of clean core concept and should bring learnings and experiences from previous projects.
- Should have strong Interpersonal/soft skills and good communication skills.
- Work closely with client leadership, other architects, and PMO to have good progress on the team related tasks.
- Participate in daily stand-up calls and update respective stories in JIRA
- Learn the client Ways of Working and adapt to it asap.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Cloud, SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based software development and deployment processes.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies and continuous integration.
- Ability to design modular and reusable code components for complex business applications.
- Familiarity with debugging, performance tuning, and optimization techniques in SAP environments.
At least 7-10 yrs of SAP experience in S4HANA, ABAP - Technical Architecture
- Understand the requirements provided in the high-level design document (Functional Specs)
- Good understanding and practical usage of Clean Core Decision matrix for Forms, Enhancements, Workflows and Reports
- Strong hands-on experience in ABAP on S/4HANA, Restful ABAP Programming, CDS, OData, Fiori Elements, Flexible Workflows, and New Output Management (BRF+)
- Good understanding of S/4HANA extensibility framework, enhancements, Cloud Ready BADIs, Key User Extensibility
- Awareness of SAP S4HANA integrates with SAP BTP & technical connectivity with other applications (SAP & Non-SAP) in the landscape.
- Use SAP Activate Methodology
- Define technical designs using SAP standards, reference architectures, design patterns, decision matrices and proven best practices.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in SAP ABAP Cloud.
- This position is based at our CDC2A - SEZ office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
