Job Description:
Reports to Facility Maintenance Manager B and assists in all aspects of cleaning and maintaining quality standards. Prepares and assigns work schedules for subordinate employees through subordinate Supervisors B's and Supervisor A's. Maintains accurate personnel records on all work crews. Meets with building coordinators to get feedback on the quality service provided by the crews. Must be flexible and have the ability to multitask when necessary. Performs all related duties necessary to provide professional services to the customer of Facility Services/ Building Services. Responsible for over 20 buildings across campus with various square footage.
Job Duties:
35%-Manages and directs building cleaning services, special events, special projects, floor maintenance and pest control for custodial personnel. Has direct responsibility for academic and administrative buildings with planning and scheduling activities.
25%- Uses Work Control System for scheduling and reviewing of work orders. Will be over Weekend crews and rotating on-call.
20%- Assist the department heads with planning and carrying out policies relating to management of assigned personnel on day shift such as hires, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and evaluations. Prepares related documents for review by the department head.
20%- Develops procedures and practices for the efficient operation, improvement, and continuity of Building Services activities, special events and special projects. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or food service work.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
This position is classified as a safety and security-sensitive position. These positions are subject to drug screens per PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
This position requires a valid driver's license, will require an MVR, and is subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
This position is considered emergency essential and may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
This position requires the ability to lift at least 20 pounds, walk, stand, bend, ascend and descend stairs throughout the day and move furniture and or equipment of at least 20 pounds. This position will require a physical evaluation based on the physical demands required.

Minimum/SER: $22.00/hr.
1st Quartile: $25.26/hr.
Midpoint: $29.47/hr.
3rd Quartile: $33.68/hr.
Maximum: $37.88/hr.
Hourly rate may be commensurate with candidate's experience in alignment with Chapter 6 rules.
