Why this role?

A CSE Engineer Project is involved in the most demanding projects. He/she takes over from the CSE Engineer, Solution in the initial start-up meeting, and is accountable for coordination of all engineering work until the project is handed over to maintenance

What will you be doing?

Solution planning – costing

· Responsible for supplying correct costings in change orders (variations and addworks), both for corporate and local materials

· Involves the Supply Line, installation, maintenance and project management to understand both the materials and service cost of the change orders (variations and addworks)

Solution planning – Specs

· Coordinates specification creation for changes

· Accountable for the technical content of the order between MS 0b and MS 2z

· Accountable for final technical site surveys

Solution planning – Availability and lead times

· Coordinates lead times from Supply Line and local sourcing on the changes

Solution planning – Installability

· Ensures that the proposed solution can be installed after the changes are applied

· Ensures that the cost and work effort impact of the installation is part of change costing

Solution planning – Maintainability

· Ensures that the proposed changes fulfils the customer’s product lifecycle needs

· Identifies possible deviations of changes to standard maintenance methods and ensures that a resolution is found

Solution planning – Compliance

· Ensures that the proposed solution fulfils local codes, regulations and safety requirements

· Ensure alignment with environmental regulations

· Ensures that the planned solution complies with KONE’s Engineering Policy

Key tasks in the KONE Sales process

· Takes over from the CSE Engineer, Solution in the most complex project cases during the initial start-up meeting

Key tasks in the KONE Delivery process 

· Accountable for the creation of layouts

· Coordinates and analyses change requirements (variation orders and addworks); ensures that holistic proposals for the new solution design are provided

· Coordinates the work of all involved CSE Engineers and Specialists

· Proposes change order (variations and addworks) sales opportunities to Project Managers

· Accountable to understand variance between the design of the site versus reality of the site

· Provides solution-related information to Project Managers, Installation Supervisors and Maintenance Supervisors

CSE Engineer, Project role in the KONE SER process 

· Shares knowledge with maintenance per as needed

General responsibilities

· Participates in product and new service release information-sharing sessions

· Offers input to the product offering management about customization, standardization and interface requirements for the portfolio

· Contributes to the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network

· Contributes to and utilizes the Customer Solutions Engineering case library

Are you the one?

· Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another relevant field, or several years’ experience in elevator business field operations

· Understanding of new construction and building modernizations processes in the industry and at KONE

·  Good skills in understanding and translating customer needs into KONE technical specifications

· Good knowledge of KONE solution-related norms and standards

· Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms

· Good engineering tool skills e.g. CAD and BIM skills

· Good knowledge of KONE current solutions

· Knowledge of supply engineering. Good understanding on KONE supply operations

· Understanding of KONE quality management

· Good virtual collaboration skills
