Position Summary
The primary function of the Crew Leader is to be responsible and held accountable for their team members and equipment and to maintain control and consistency on every jobsite. The Crew Leader positively encourages and motivates team members to conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner in the eyes of the customer and is expected to uphold all qualifications and certifications for the safe operation of all company equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to all aspects of the Crew Leader Handbook.
- Represent and demonstrate Company leadership attributes while performing job duties and developing others.
- Check truck loads against customer Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy before leaving the yard and review and sign off on items at the delivery site as the final customer order accuracy check.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials in a safe manner and in accordance with company best practices and direct others in the loading process to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Remain in charge at every jobsite ensuring jobs are completed safely and that proper materials and counts are delivered and distributed per customer request.
- Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly as they relate to OSHA.
- Exhibit a positive attitude that results in a productive team environment.
- Be accountable for team member safety, the integrity of company equipment, and the professional product delivered to customers.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have a clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 40% of the time.
- Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading and unloading.
- Will constantly move to job sites and throughout the yard.
- Must be able to communicate with team members and management and exchange accurate information.
- Constantly working in an outside or warehouse environment.
Required Cognitive Skills
- Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Must be able to manage stress depending on customers’ deadlines.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to receive information and directions.
- Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.
